#2 – Total Length of this RTS (when it starts) and the two stations

It is 4km long. The two connecting stations are Singapore terminus in Woodlands North and Johor’s Bukit Chagar station.

#3 – RTS Link Maintenance Depot

This will be located Wadi Hana, Johor Bahru. The depot will provide stabling and maintenance facilities for supporting the operation.

#4 – Main benefits of RTS (as per LTA SG)

Johor Bahru – Singapore Rapid Transit System (RTS) Link will help to ease Causeway congestion, improve connectivity, foster people-to-people ties and generate shared economic and social benefits.

#5 – How many passengers could be using the RTS daily?

Maximum capacity is 10,000 commuters during peak periods, for every hour and in each direction. Ridership is estimated to be 40,000 per day.

#6 – How many times do we have to pass through Immigration, Custom and Quarantine (ICQ)

RTS Link Project includes the building of a new Immigration, Customs and Quarantine (ICQ) facility next to the station at Bukit Chagar and Singapore would have the facility in Woodlands North in Singapore.

What is unique is that the Malaysian ICQ and Singaporean CIQ facilities will be co-located within the same building. This will allow the entire immigration process of leaving and entering both countries to be completed at the departing station. Upon arrival at the other side (JB or SG), we just leave the station directly.

#7 How long will it take for the ride? (Just the ride yeah, not including the immigration)
