The second T20I between the Indian women’s cricket team and England at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai was marred with issues for fans. The first game at the same stadium had also witnessed fans facing problems that led to the criticism of the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). The MCA has announced that entry for the fans will be free for the India vs England Women T20I series, but in the first game, only two stands were opened for the crowd. Fans also had to face problems due to the long list of items prohibited inside the stadium.

For the second game on Saturday, a commotion was witnessed outside the Wankhede as fans turned up in big numbers for the match. What led to the problem was the opening of just one gate for the entry of the fans. The situation was controlled by the local police team who dispersed the crowd without using force.

Coming to the match. England clinched the three-match series with a four-wicket win in the second game. They bowled first and had India all out for just 80. Apart from Jemimah Rodrigues (30) and Smriti Mandhana (10), none of the Indian batters reached the double-figure score. Charlotte Dean, Lauren Bell, Sophie Ecclestone and Sarah Glenn took two wickets each.
